Welcome to Karl Marx's world
Jan. 17, 2001

Welcome to Karl Marx's world: a world where there is no place for God, the individual is subjected to the rights of the state, there are always and only two classes––the oppressed and the oppressor––and political goals are achieved through class struggle.

Marx called the two classes the Bourgeoisie and the Proletariat. In very basic terms, the Proletariat, the working class would organize to overthrow the Bourgeois, the middle class who own property and control capital. We don't use those terms anymore, but the beat goes on.

There are those who see the present conflict in our own nation as a political struggle, conservatives against liberals, Republicans against Democrats, rather than a spiritual battle that has raged under the guise of politics for untold generations.

As long as it is deemed political there are many Christians who say, "We have no interest in it." Or, if they take an interest in it, they become entangled on a political level with the intrigue, the methodology of party politics and the infighting that sucks them in to spiritual impotence.

A Spiritual Battle

Because the battle is spiritual, merely tilting it in the right direction politically is not the same as bringing resolution to the problem. We have seen the evidence of that over the last few generations. No matter who is in power, at the end of the day, it seems, the nation continues in its downward spiral.

Communism, ostensibly, has been defeated. Russia failed, the Berlin wall was demolished, as were other symbols of organized Communist Totalitarianism. However, the problem did not go away, the revolution did not stop. It had already taken root to such a degree that the destroying of those concrete dividers only made it possible for the infection, under a different name and with a different face, to continue to ravage the foundations of our nation virtually unchallenged.

Karl Marx' Communist Manifesto, which is seldom referred to anymore, much less taken seriously today, is very revealing about the agenda of the Democratic Party in our country. In part, it says:

"Communists everywhere support every revolutionary movement against the existing social and political order of things…they labor everywhere for the union and agreement of the democratic parties of all countries." The Communist Manifesto

We may have wondered why President Clinton could flagrantly break the law, obstruct Justice, flaunt his immorality, eliminate his enemies, commit perjury under oath, and still be approved, justified and even applauded by half of the U.S. population. At the same time, former Senator John Ashcroft, a man of almost impeccable reputation for integrity, morality and good judgment has been maligned, falsely accused and knowingly misrepresented by an organized and blatantly dishonest Democratic Cabal.

Politics of Personal Destruction

When President Clinton was justifiably indicted for impeachable crimes, his accusers were viciously attacked for "practicing the politics of personal destruction." His defenders cried long and loudly that there was no room for such tactics in American government. Now, however, when it is time for men of honest reputation to step up and take their place in office, the politics of personal destruction is the weapon of choice. Lies and innuendoes are being employed to make sure that no honest official will be on hand to derail the Marxist agenda that is being franticly installed before its purveyors leave office.

The most damning charge laid against Mr. Ashcroft is that he will try to legislate morality, to which he correctly answered that of course he will. That's what legislation of the law is. The alternative is to legislate immorality. What cannot be legislated is spirituality.

Marxist America?

Marxism has made tremendous inroads in the USA during the tenure of the present administration. The evidence is in the increase and locking up of public lands, government monopoly of education (which, happily, has met with some successful opposition), confiscation or extreme taxation of inherited properties, the denigration of marriage and the normal family. All this and more are the stated agenda of the "Communist" movement, which is not dead. In fact it is closer to its goals than ever before. It has controlled our White House for eight years, and is now so entrenched that it is possibly an inoperable cancer.

For those who would mock such ideas as a viable "Communist agenda," given the fact that those terms are now obsolete, and that problem met its demise at the end of the "cold war," a rose by any other name would smell as sweet. Those ungodly and destructive ambitions did not begin with Marx. They are rebellion against the principles of God's Word, and they impugn God's character. Socialism, as it is being foisted upon us, is an atheistic philosophy that denies and defies God's Truth.

Call to Arms

Other voices, for years, have urged upon us the call to repentance and prayer. Those voices have been largely ignored. Many Christians have chosen to resist the sinister encroachment of godless socialism by jumping into the political melee and joining the fight with only political weapons. They have gone that route at the neglect of seeking God's face and declaring His Truth. They perhaps forget that "we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places."

On the other hand, it seems there are men who have done both: they have entered the political arena, and they have also sought God's direction and blessing. If God has called some righteous men into places of political influence––as He did Daniel––then it is our duty to seek on their behalf God's aid to establish them in their office. Who knows! It may be God's will to give our nation a reprieve from its headlong plunge into hell.

"The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God." Ps. 9:17 God said so, believe it. He also said,

"Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people". Prov. 14:34

Mr. Clinton and his party as standard bearers of Marx's ungodly political philosophy have filled our nation with reproach. Now they seek to block the appointment of men who may seek to turn it around. Since they have despised the rule of law, and Mr. Ashcroft has pledged to uphold the law, perhaps they feel their own agendas would be imperiled if he were installed in the place of those presently in power who have conveniently looked the other way.

Perhaps He Will Hear Us

Let us therefore pray for the righteousness––at least the encouragement of the righteousness––that will exalt this nation, and bring us back from the reproach that is upon this people, that God's name and His message might be heralded again throughout our land.

There is no such thing as a truly Christian nation. But there is such a thing as a nation in which the principles of godliness, if not honored, are at least respected and perhaps encouraged, a nation where God's Word is not attacked as an enemy by the institutions of government.

This message is perhaps a little late in being posted, but there is still time to pray for Mr. Ashcroft as he faces his inquisitors, many of them dishonest and lawless men. Some of those who are hypocritically challenging his integrity are men who themselves have flaunted the law and lived above it, guilty of every conceivable crime and immoral lifestyle, who have used their offices for their own aggrandizement. They have reason to fear an honest man. We can pick up the weapon of prayer on his behalf, and on the behalf of the God-fearing families of this land.
